Travel Information

Flights

Attendees are responsible for booking and covering the cost of flights to Stream 08. We recommend you arrive at the resort by 3pm on Thursday 2nd October and depart the venue at 3pm on Saturday 4th October (for further details on the schedule see the Stream 08 wiki for details).

Airport Transfers (transfer time: 45mins approx)

Arrivals:

Transfers: Stream Engines leave every hour from the airport to the venue on Thursday 2nd October from 10:00 to 19:00. Please make your way to the airport arrivals area to meet our Stream Team. They will be wearing bright blue t-shirts and holding Stream signage - you won't miss them! You will be directed to board the next available Stream Engine to the venue.

Taxis: If you miss the Stream engines provided we recommend you take a taxi from the rank outside the airport. This should approximately cost EUR 60.

Departures:
Stream Engines to the airport will depart from Club Med Athens on Saturday 4th October. Details of departure times will be available on site. Transfer time from the venue to Athens airport should approximately take 45 minutes, depending on traffic. Please allow plenty of time for check-in at the airport as there may be queues. We recommend you take a transfer departing Club Med at least 3 hours before your flight is due to leave.

Driving

If you wish to rent a car, or live in Greece here are directions to drive to Club Med Athenia:

From Athens Airport: Enter to "Attiki Odos" (highway) following the directions to Athens. Take exit for Pallini - Leof. Marathonos.

Enter Leof. Marathonos (avenue) following signs to Rafina, Marathon

Continue straight ahead, you will pass the town of Nea Makri. 3km after the central square of the town, turn right at the traffic lights where you see "Club Med Athenia - Golden Coast Holiday Club. Follow the signs to the main entrance of the Club.

Taking a Taxi

If you miss the transfers from the airport provided at Stream 08 we recommend you take a taxi from the rank outside airport.

Departure transfers on Saturday 4th October will be provided to the airport. If you need an earlier or later transfer those organised we advise to you book your transfer at the Club Med hotel reception.

What to pack

Dress Code
Suits are out! Casual is in for this event! Jeans and trainers welcome.

Please refer to the weather forecast closer to the event to help you decide what to pack! We recommend you bring a beach/pool towel and sun cream as temperatures can reach 24oC (75oF) in October. The main swimming pool will be open for the duration of the event. A lifeguard will be on duty from 10:00 to 18:00, swimming outside of these hours is at your own risk!

Please also bring something warm for the evenings, particularly for the Midnight Cooking Madness!

If the weather is good, some sporting activities will be available should you wish to use them.

Laptops
We suggest you bring along your laptop to Stream 08. Although WiFi will be provided, minimal computing facilities will be available.
